#lrnchat is an online chat that happens every Thursday night 8:30-10pm EST / 5:30-7pm PST over the social messaging service Twitter. Participants are people interested in the topic of learning from one another and who want to discuss how to help other people learn.

Sounds crazy, eh? Dozens of people hop on-line for a rapid-fire exchange of 140-character Tweets. In fact, it’s exhilarating, something akin to the rush I get when brainstorming. Ideas fly by fast and furious. Twenty minutes later, my mind’s still engaged.

You can look at past Tweetstreams at the lrnchat blog, but that doesn’t capture the excitement. I recorded a bit of tonight’s lrnchat with Jing. It’s easiest to watch fullscreen on YouTube.

#lrnchat is hosted by @marciamarcia, @quinnovator, @moehlert @koreenolbrish and @janebozarth. The official twitter account is @lrnchat.
